INARI

In the Shinto religion of Japan, Inari is worshipped as a collective of individual kami (deities) that represent different characteristics and are associated with foxes, fertility, prosperity, rice, and industry.
The deity is often depicted as male, female, or androgynous. In contrast, Buddhist views Inari as an aspect of Avalokiteshvara, a bodhisattva associated with compassion. Despite these differences, Inari worship has fused elements of both Shinto and Buddhist religions over time. Their holy animal is the Fox and the Kitsune are her messengers.
Arrival on Vero
Inari came to Vero with the influx of Kitsune that arrived in 2025. During the Yukata Summer Festival, the Miko Priest, Miyuki-sama performed a ritual summoning the Kami into the nearby shrine and when the construction of Little Tokyo was completed Inari took up residence in the Shrine proper in that district.
